Better protection around oil cisterns | Sept 2018
Many oil ports want to add an extra layer of protection. Generally they already have concrete walls surrounding the oil cistern to prevent leakage, so the next step is to install a second barrier in the event that the first fails. Inero’s barrier, combined with a protective coating, provides a reliable, flexible and economical solution.

As an additional protective barrier, a basin is built around the substation. Thanks to Inero’s mobile protection barrier, the installations were easy and much faster, while protection from oil leaks was better than ever.

Professionals and experts, from twelve countries, were involved in a large Field Exercise “IPA Floods in Varazdin, Croatia – 2017”. Teams were training to build the Inero barriers, how to connect barrier sections and how to protect important installations such as power stations and pumping stations.

With the major floods in Britain in recent years, the British authorities have lifted their preparedness. In the summer of 2016, the UK Authority, the Environment Agency (EA), signed a two-year framework for mobile flood barriers, with three different suppliers, of which Inero is one.

The IPA floods program is funded by the EU and aims to prevent flooding.
Inero won the competition for Lot no 1 and in May 2017 Inero delivered 7x 400m complete H80 barrier to the recepient countries. All the barriers came packed into the new specially designed steel crates – 100 metres of complete barrier in each steel crate.

This summer Inero signed a framework agreement with the British Environment Agency spanning several years. Shortly thereafter, we received an order for a large quantity of barriers for the EA’s operational depots. We have delivered barriers to them in batches and the EA is now well-equipped for the coming winter season.

H55 to stop and control flood waters | April 2015
Together with Medelpad’s Rescue Services, Inero has conducted several tests on redirecting flash floods with the low Inero H55 barrier.
In August 2014, 4,000 metres of Inero H80 barrier were installed in the south of Sweden to protect the Halland region from flooding.

We have recently received several queries from customers asking whether the Inero barrier can be installed on uneven ground and slopes. The answer is that it works just fine – the Inero barrier “follows” the ground and is very flexible!
Inero has received another prestigious order from an international chemical group. The order includes 220 meters of Inero's latest barrier H180, which protects against leakage up to 180 cm height.
The municipality of Kristianstad are building permanent dykes to protect the vulnerable city against flooding. In addition to the permanent dykes there is also a need for a mobile flood protection system that can be rapidly assembled at short notice. After thorough testing, the municipality of Kristianstad have chosen 1 400 meters of the mobile flood barriers from Inero AB and placed an initial order to a value of several millions SEK. The photo shows the test assembly of the INERO™ barrier prior to procurement. The barrier withstands flood waters up to 1.25 meters.
Inero has recently taken an important step in planning to expand its international activities to Australia, a country which is notoriously affected by severe floods. The annual flood costs for damage and rehabilitation regularly runs into hundreds of millions of dollars. Flood Barriers Australia Pty Ltd (FBAPL) is an Australian company and they act as Exclusive Distributor for Inero in Australia.

INERO™ barrier put to use in Jönköping flood | July 2013
After several weeks of sunshine, parts of Jönköping were hit by massive rains on 26 July. The downpour was so heavy that it led to flooding in several parts of the city. Jönköping’s Fire & Rescue Service were on the scene right away. They expertly assembled the Inero barrier to divert the flood.
